Last real lesson in the class. We thought all this time we were drawing, now on the last class day, we're sculpting.
We partnered up here, and drew each other's faces. Or more accurately, we drew how a line would move across the face based on the curvature of the geometry. This is more about drawing, almost carving, the shape than about drawing a face. The face just kind of emerges as line builds up on top of line from going over it many times.
This image is attempt number three, where I finally began to understand what Tom wanted us to do. The black ring around his right eye was not intentional and came from the lesson that wax pencil can not be removed by eraser. Ah well, it gives a cyborg look to the guy that is kind of interesting in its own right.
